8 Bit Do Gamepad
| Item | SNES Pro Gamepad |
| MSRP | $39.99 |
| Manufacturer | 8 Bit Do |
| Rating | 4.5/5 |
Synopsis: The 8 Bit Do Gamepad works as an alternative to Nintendo's official Pro controller.
Pros:
- Vastly superior D-pad in comparison to the official model. Perfect for 2D side scrolling games.
- Lightweight
- Long battery life. About 70+ hours.
- Can also be used with PC if desired.
- Relatively low price.
Cons:
- Some connectivity issues when first booting up the Switch. Sometimes the controller has trouble synching to the console.
- Trigger buttons are somewhat small. Can be a tad difficult to reach for games that require it.
- Impossible to tell when the battery is low. When it goes out. It goes out.
Overall this is a great alternative to Nintendo's official Pro controller considering it's third party. It's incredibly responsive and for retro styled games is actually better due to it's old school design optimized for retro games. Plus you'll be paying almost half of what you would pay for an official controller at roughtly $40 and still has analog and photo sharing functions built into it and can pretty much do everything the official controller can. Highly recommended.
